Scottish PSC is committed to the campaign to win institutional support for the appeal from Palestinian civil society for comprehensive boycott, disinvestment and sanctions against the racist, apartheid state of Israel until this state

a. ends its illegal military occupation of Palestinian lands conquered in 1967

b. recognises the right of return of Palestinian refugees ethnically cleansed in 1948, 1967, until today.

The Zionist plan for the Palestinian people envisages either their expulsion or their subjugation. We are for any solution to the crisis based on universal human rights. The immediate need, however, is for effective solidarity with the Palestinian people who are resisting the regional superpower. The cynical complicity of successive British governments, both Tory and labour, in the dispossession of the Palestinian people finds it crowning horror in Tony Blair's support for Israeli attacks on both Palestine and Lebanon.

The aim of the SPSC is twofold: by campaigning for a boycott of Israel goods, sporting, cultural and political visits to Scotland we aim to:

a. provide hope to the imprisoned Palestinan people
b. make Israelis realise that they cannot continue along the path of ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians without paying a heavy cost.

We may be successful or we may not: we will let people know that Blair and Bush act not in our name.
