was recently released from prison after two years detention without charge. will be live from Ramallah on Israel’s mass incarceration and abuse of Palestinian prisoners, torture, child prisoners, resistance inside the Israeli prison system, solidarity with the prisoners from the wider Palestinian society – and what we can do around the world to support those prisoners.

The day before Earth Day, partly to demolish the claims of the JNF (Jewish National Fund) to be an environmental organisation, Eurig Scandrett will discuss Environmental Nakba, the report he co-authored with colleagues from Palestine and South Africa for Friends of the Earth International. Environmental Nakba is a meticulously researched account of the human cost and environmental devastation, colonialism and ethnic cleansing that a delegation from Friends of the Earth International observed in 2012. Sunday April 28th 4pm
is a Palestinian based in Germany where he is one of the “Humboldt Three” on trial for disrupting a political event by challenging an Israeli “pinkwashing” politician who supported Israel’s 2014 attack on Gaza. Following the event the three – Majed and Israelis Aliza Lavie and Ronnie Barkan - were charged with trespassing. One of the activists was also charged with “assault”. The charges are being strongly contested as a means to suppress free speech on Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
