DESCRIPTION:In the 1980s and early 1990s\, Dr Swee Ang worked as a trauma and orthopaedics consultant in the refugee camps of Lebanon\, with the United Nations in Gaza and the World Health Organisation in the Occupied West Bank. \nShe is the co-founder and Patron of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). \nIt is an outrage that Dr Swee Ang\, after a lifetime of selfless dedication to her NHS patients and the Palestinian people\, was barred from speaking by the BMA after being smeared as ‘antisemitic’. \nBut we live in a time of outrage piled upon outrage\, of active complicity in the genocide by political and corporate bodies\, or insidious silent complicity by virtually every other elite institution in the country – police\, sporting\, cultural\, media\, educational\, and others. \nIt is fight or flight time – we must fight back or face tragic consequences. \nRegistration is required – book your place here \nRegistration for these meetings is free\, but we ask for a donation towards the SPSC No One Left Behind campaign in support of those facing criminal charges or imprisonment for opposition to genocide.

This means it helps Israel directly to raise money to fund its genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. \nThe Palestinian BDS National Committee is calling on concerned people to boycott all Barclays services as well as for all financial institutions to divest from Barclays until the bank ends its grave complicity in Israel’s attacks on Palestinians\, \nJoin us for our bi-weekly (Wed & Sat) demonstrations at Barclays Bank on Princes Street (next to Apple store).

DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to this public meeting organised by SPSC Edinburgh. \nHear a report back from SPSC delegation members recently returned from Occupied Palestine.  \nWhile we keep our eyes on Israel’s genocide in Gaza\, it is important to see the broader situation of Palestinians living under Israel’s military occupation and apartheid regime. While the Israeli government continues their brutal attack and siege on Gaza\, its military works with violent settlers in the Occupied West Bank in attempts to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from their land. \nHear firsthand accounts from SPSC members from their recent visit.
