DESCRIPTION:All welcome\nCome along the Mid Argyll Youth Development Services – MAYDS – building for 6.30pm to watch the documentary film Jenin Jenin\, and stay for tea and discussion after the film. \n\nMarch 2002: The Israeli troops have marched into the Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin\, razing the largest part of the camp to the ground and killing scores of civilians. Israel has been accused of committing war crimes\, prompting the United Nations to assign an independent commission to visit the camp. But Israel has forbidden it.\n\n\nDirector Mohammed Bakri visits the demolished camp and interviews survivors of all ages. Jenin\, Jenin is dedicated to the memory of Iyad Samudi\, the film’s executive producer\, who was shot and killed after the production of the film was wrapped.\n\n\nLong banned by the Israeli Film Board\, Mohammad Bakri’s poignant documentary remains a powerful statement on the plight of the Palestinians in their continuous quest for liberation.\n\n\nFree to attend – donations welcomed\, and there will be SPSC merchandise such as t-shirts\, books and other wee items for sale.

DESCRIPTION:SPSC Residential Weekend\, Fri 31 Oct – Sun 2 Nov \nFollowing the success of our last residential weekend in February\, we are holding a bigger residential weekend this autumn for members of SPSC to gather in Stirling. \nThis will be a fantastic opportunity to meet\, learn and work together with fellow activists from across Scotland\, exchanging our ideas. \nWe will use the space and time provided by the weekend to explore a wide range of questions facing our movement\, in order to strengthen our action. This will include questions of theory and strategy\, as well as how to develop our technical and organisational skills. \nThe weekend will run from 6 pm on Friday to 6 pm on Sunday. \nRegistration is open to all SPSC members – if you are not already a member\, join HERE. \nREGISTER HERE (Registration in advance is required) \nOnce registered\, you will\, in due course\, be sent further information and asked to provide information such as dietary requirements. \nCost is £70 per person and includes accommodation and meals from Friday through to Sunday.
