Its $11.6 trillion assets under management are roughly worth the same as the ten wealthiest countries in the world. \nBlack Rock must stop crushing life and humanity. \nWhy BlackRock?\nCrime 1: Black Rock is funding climate breakdown\nBlackRock is a top shareholder in major U.S. fossil fuel companies\, including ExxonMobil\, Chevron\, and ConocoPhillips. \nBlackRock is the second largest institutional investor in fossil fuels overall with $400 billion worth of investments in the industry. \nCrime 2: Black Rock is funding war and genocide\nBlackRock invests hugely in arms companies directly aiding the Gaza genocide such as Elbit Systems\, Lockheed Martin\, Boeing and Raytheon. \nA UN report in July exposed BlackRock’s complicity in funding arms\, surveillance and energy companies directly aiding the Israeli governments assault on the Palestinians. The report highlights BlackRock’s part in a “joint criminal enterprise” to profit from genocide. \nCrime 3: Black Rock is funding death by AI\nBlackRock\, the world’s largest asset manager\, is listed as the second largest institutional investor in Palantir. Lethal applications of Palantir’s AI technology includes its role in Israel’s campaign of mass slaughter in Gaza and in aiding ICE in locating subjects for deportation. \nBlackRock is investing billions in hyperscale data centre infrastructure. This is driven by the surging energy demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.

This means it helps Israel directly to raise money to fund its genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. \nThe Palestinian BDS National Committee is calling on concerned people to boycott all Barclays services as well as for all financial institutions to divest from Barclays until the bank ends its grave complicity in Israel’s attacks on Palestinians\, \nJoin us for our bi-weekly (Wed & Sat) demonstrations at Barclays Bank on Princes Street (next to Apple store).
