DESCRIPTION:Workers Day School for Palestine\, Saturday 11th April\, Edinburgh\nThis day school is for workers and activists who are interested in workplace and union organising for Palestine. The purpose is to:\n\nDevelop skills and knowledge to support workplace organising and campaigns.\nLearn from experienced organisers in different sectors in Scotland and from organisers of successful workplace actions on Palestine in different countries.\nCreate a forum to share experiences and connect workers from across Scotland who are committed to grassroots\, workplace organising on Palestine.\n\nThe day school will be a mixture of workshops and training\, panels and discussion. DESCRIPTION:Erik Helgeson\, Vice-Chair of the Swedish Dockworkers’ Union\nJoin us for a rare opportunity to learn from a high profile International trade union activist\nDockworker and trade union activist Erik Helgeson is coming to Scotland to share lessons from the front line of international labour solidarity! \nAs a leading figure in the Swedish Dockworkers’ Union\, Erik helped organise bold industrial action for Palestine and has became a symbol of workers standing up for their principles in the face of union-busting attacks. \nHe will describe how his employer seized on the action\, using it as a pretext to dismiss him\, the case is now proceeding through the Swedish Labour Courts.  \nAn international fundraising campaign has enabled the union to employ Erik directly allowing him to continue to carry out his responsibilities sending a clear message to the port employers that union-busting will not pay off. \nJoin us for a powerful discussion on how workers can act ethically and strategically on international issues. \nWe will look at worker power\, union democracy\, and what Scottish trade unionists can learn from struggles for Palestine in workplaces across the world – and crucially how we can take action of our own. \nErik is also speaking in Glasgow and in Edinburgh at the Workers Day School for Palestine. \nREGISTER NOW

DESCRIPTION:STUC Anti-Racism and Anti-Fascism March\nAssemble from 10.30 at Barrowlands Park\, G1 5BG\, march off at 11.00. \nWe are joining the march and rally\, and will be handing out leaflets emphasising the importance of opposing all racist ideologies\, including Zionism. \nEvery year for St Andrew’s Day\, the STUC organises an Anti-Racism and Anti-Fascism march in Glasgow\, highlighting Scotland’s long-standing commitment to inclusivity\, solidarity with refugees\, and our rejection of the far-right. \nThe theme of this year’s march and rally is Stand Up\, Speak Out: Unite Against Racism!\, which shows that despite institutional and everyday challenges\, there is enduring strength in solidarity among the anti-racist and anti-fascist movement in Scotland. \nSaturday\, 29 November 2025\, assemble from 10:30 at Barrowlands Park for march to Adelaide Place\, 209 Bath Street\, Glasgow\, G2 4HZ for an indoor rally at 12pm. \nStand Up\, Speak Out: Unite Against Zionism!
