DESCRIPTION:Join us every Saturday in August at our Stall on the Meadows!\nScottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign will have a stall at the ‘Meadows Compass’ on Middle Meadow Walk every Saturday during August. \nHelp us highlight the issue of Palestine during the Edinburgh Festival at Middle Meadow Walk from 11am – 4pm. \nWe’ll have campaign materials to hand out and T-shirts\, umbrellas etc for sale\, this is a great opportunity to engage\, join us\, and get involved in our campaigns. \nOn each Saturday at 1pm we will display ‘Killing the Messenger’\, the photos of over 200 murdered journalists – we need your help to create this poignant display.

DESCRIPTION:Assemble at the Middle Meadow Walk Side of the Edinburgh Futures Institute at 12.30 on Friday 21 August 2026.\nA collaboration between Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC)\, University and College Union Edinburgh Branch (UCU)\, and Edinburgh University Justice for Palestine Society (EUJPS). \nThe University of Edinburgh which has over £50\,000\,000 invested in the genocidal Israeli project is currently planning 2000+ redundancies\, claiming financial insecurity. The University has spent over £400\,000\,000 on the Edinburgh’s Futures Institution and continues to make massive profits year on year. \nThe University’s senior management has failed in its role of governance\, blatantly sidestepping its own democratic processes. Edinburgh University’s student\, staff union\, and Senate have all voted for divestment\, and against these cuts. There has also been a vote of no confidence in the Vice-Chancellor\, Peter Mathieson. Yet\, senior management continues to make decisions that ignore these mandates. \nWe demand – \n\nThat the University divest from Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people. \nThat the Scottish Government uphold its vote for BDS\, and enforces this on all institutions receiving public funds\, including the University of Edinburgh.\nThat the organisers of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival boycott the University of Edinburgh until this has been achieved.

DESCRIPTION:Protest Barclay’s complicity and profiting from genocide\n\nBarclays is bankrolling Israel’s genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza. \nA report published in 2024 detailed Barclay’s financial ties to companies producing weapons and military technology used in Israel’s attacks on Palestinians. \nIn addition\, Barclays has an agreement with Israel to act as a ‘primary dealer’ for its government bonds. This means it helps Israel directly to raise money to fund its genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. \nThe Palestinian BDS National Committee is calling on concerned people to boycott all Barclays services as well as for all financial institutions to divest from Barclays until the bank ends its grave complicity in Israel’s attacks on Palestinians\, \nJoin us for our bi-weekly (Wed & Sat) demonstrations at Barclays Bank on Princes Street (next to Apple store).
