The Co-op board has agreed to enact Motion 13! The motion which was put forward at the AGM was a non-binding motion, however the board has made the correct and noble decision to implement the motion and cut ties with all made in Israel products. 

Following a full board review of the motion the co-op has confirmed it will stop selling goods or ingredients  from countries such as Israel, who have been identified as committing human rights abuses and violating international law.

This is a fantastic win for the BDS Movement and we want to extend our thanks to all the co-op members who put forward the motion and voted overwhelmingly in its favour! And to all the activists across the UK and North of Ireland who campaigned to spread the word about the motion. 

This groundbreaking and long-overdue due win shows what can be achieved  by mass cooperation and sustained pressure. This is why we need your support more than ever, it’s time to escalate pressure on other businesses to follow the Co-op and remove all products made in Israel. On the 28th of June we are launching our No Bargains with Genocide campaign against Home Bargains. Home Bargains is the fastest growing retailer in the UK, it also stocks a plethora of Israeli made cleaning products, skin care, baby products & wet wipes. We demand Home Bargains removes these items from its shelves now!

After the success of the UK & Ireland wide campaign against the Co-op we know that success is possible. But we need your support!

• Join SPSC and help us organise and grow this campaign

• Shop workers: join a Trace Union if not already a member and then join our SPSC Trade Union network for guidance and support on how you can organise in your workplace

• Boycott all Home Bargains products labelled ‘Made in Israel’

• Lodge a formal complaint to Home Bargains about the sale of Israeli made products

• Send our No Bargains with Genocide letter to CEO Tom Morris demanding he stop selling Israeli made goods: Send Letter to Home Bargains CEO

Together we can do what our governments refuse to, economically isolate Israel until it is no longer profitable to commit genocide & apartheid!
