British racist thugs march for Israel – latest example in long tradition
Without any initial comment. Here is a photo from a demonstration / rampage by the thugs of the EDL (English Defence League) in Dudley in the English Midlands on Saturday 3rd April, 2010.
There has long been an overlap of interests between those extreme rightists who want to kick Jews out of Europe and Zionists who want to lead Jews out of Europe. Hardly surprising; in oppressed groups, political tendencies that espouse separatism and departure attract the support of extreme racists pursuing an exclusive 'racial purity'.
Marcus Garvey's Back to Africa Movement in the US drew parallel conclusions the founding fathers of Zionism and concluded that racism in North America could not be fought successfully. Like the founders of modern Jewish Zionism, Garvey stands accused of blaming the victims rather than racism for their predicament, arguing that they needed to remove themselves from a place where they should not be. When, in the early years of the Twentieth Century, Garvey urged Black Americans to leave and migrate to Africa, the racist Ku Klux Klan applauded this strategy and offered funds to facilitate the departure of Black people.
Black leader Garvey held a joint meeting with the white supremacist KKK, which he praised as “better friends of the race than all other groups of hypocritical whites put together.” In the same way, Herzl, the founding father of Zionism, negotiated an agreement with Von Plehve, the organiser of the Russian Tsar’s massacres of Jews.
The US' Nation of Islam, who favour separation and a Black homeland in North America, also organised meetings together with white supremacists in the 1960s.
Today in Britain, the most vicious xenophobes and anti-Semites demonstrate in support of Israel; the EDL are drawn like a bluebottle to a dung-heap by the affinity between visceral racism and the state-enforced racism in Israel, where Arabs are banned from living in most areas. The frequent murder of Palestinians by uniformed thugs trumps these fascists' traditional hatred of Jews; most British extreme right wingers are now concealing their traditional hatred of Jews and presenting a militantly pro-Israel and anti-Muslim public face. British Fuhrer, BNP Leader Nick Griffin, for example, used the opportunity the BBC gave him on Question Time last October to declare his militant support for Israel's massacre in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead.
Collusion between the most vicious anti-Semites and Zionist leaders began with Herzl, and continues to the present day. One particularly blatant example was the training and arms Israel provided to the bestial Argentine junta as it butchered its opponents, a disproportionate number of whom were Jewish. By their friends shall ye know them.
