AGM 2023

The Scottish PSC AGM will be a virtual event on Saturday 25 February, 12noon-4pm

The AGM will begin with a discussion on the current situation in Palestine.  It is an opportunity for members and affiliates to come together, consider the challenges ahead and to ensure the National Committee has a clear way forward for the next year.

The National Committee provides strategic leadership, has an overview of SPSC activities and ensures they align with campaign policy and is responsible for the day to day running of the national campaign. The National Committee consists of a Chair, Secretary, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Membership Secretary, Campaigns Lead, Operations Lead, and 3 additional Committee members.  All of these committee positions are voted for at the AGM, with up to two additional representatives appointed by each branch.

The role of National Committee member includes:

  • Taking a leadership role in promoting and representing SPSC as an organisation, its campaign priorities and policies
  • Building and supporting membership and volunteers
  • Liaising and working with existing and potential partners
  • Participating in regular (usually once or twice a month) Committee meetings
  • Responding as part of the collective to urgent situations
  • Contributing to proposals and decision-making at and between meetings (e.g. via email)
  • Participating in working groups and committees that contribute to the work of the National Committee and wider campaign

Please register for the AGM as soon as you can so we can make the necessary arrangements for the hybrid event.
