Rest In Power Salah Ajarma

Scottish PSC is greatly saddened to hear that our friend and comrade Salah Ajarma has passed away.  Salah Ajarma was the founder and Director of the Lajee Center in Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem where he welcomed and hosted Scottish PSC and Stop the JNF delegations over the years.  We were also privileged to host him and the Lajee youth group cultural tour several times in Scotland. As well as inspiring generations of Palestinians, Salah worked to bring home to international civil society an understanding of the nature of Israeli settler colonialism and apartheid, and of the power of Palestinian culture as resistance.  Due to the work of Glasgow Celtic fans, Scotland has a particular link and affection for Salah and the Lajee Center. He will be deeply missed and is a loss for all of us.
