Gaza under siege – Israel deliberately ‘causing serious bodily or mental harm’ to Palestinians

One dictionary definition of 'genocide' is 'the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular nation or ethnic group'.
The word 'genocide' was coined by Rafael Lemkin in 1944. It has a legal definition. The pro-Israel gang sneer and jeer at any accusations that their state is guilty of genocide, pointing out that Palestinian population has increased since 1948. There is however a body of international law governing the problem and it is unambiguous:

The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide:

"Article II: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part,a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

Israel is clearly guilty under definitions a, b and c.

Article III: The following acts shall be punishable:
(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(d) Attempt to commit genocide;
(e) Complicity in genocide. "

All UK Governments are clearly 'punishable' under point 'e' by continuing to send weapons to Israel and protecting it on international fora while it carries out ethnic cleansing across the whole of Palestine, and a brutal siege of the people of Gaza.
