Ben & Jerry's (ice cream) has a reputation as an ethical brand. In June 1998 however the company concluded an agreement with Eden Springs Ltd (Mayanot Eden/Mei Eden) to use only Eden Springs water in its sorbet products. A campaign was launched by New Yorkers for a Just Middle East Peace (NYJMEP) and in September 1998 Ben & Jerry's cancelled their contract with Eden Springs.
