Hunger vigil in pictures- Solidarity with Palestinian Prisoners – September 2004

11 SPSC members staged a 48-hour hunger vigil at St John's Church in solidarity with thousands of political prisoners, hunger-striking in protest at the appalling conditions in which they are being held.
2-4th September 2004

Israel keeps over 10,000 Palestinian hostages in its dungeons.
Many are children.  Many are detained without any trial.

SPSC members torment one of the "strikers" with a barbecue - 
to mimic the sadistic tactics of the Israeli prison guards.

Right in the centre of Edinburgh, on Princes Street...

Israel has now - 2008 - kidnapped and is keeping over 50
elected members of the Palestinian Legislative Council as hostages.

Israel is the only country in the world to legalise torture...
