Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC) is a wholly volunteer organisation. We rely on the time, energy, ideas, creativity and commitment of volunteers working collaboratively for effective solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Joining the SPSC is a way for you to support, campaign, and advocate for justice, equality, and freedom for the Palestinian people.

Here are some key reasons why you should become a member of SPSC:

1. Solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle

SPSC works to raise awareness about the Palestinian people’s struggle for liberation and self-determination, and an end to Israeli settler colonialism, occupation, apartheid, and genocide. By becoming a member of SPSC, you stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

2. Campaigning for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS)

SPSC works to implement the Palestinian call for a campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions against the state of Israel (BDS) until it complies with international law. The campaign has had real impacts, pressuring companies to withdraw from Israel and to divest from complicit entities. SPSC has a record of successful BDS campaigning, including the sports and cultural boycott.

3. Challenging UK and Scottish Government policies

SPSC campaigns against UK government complicity in Israeli human rights abuses, including arms sales and political support. We also organise campaigns to highlight Scottish links with Israel and to urge the Scottish Government to take a stand in full support of Palestinian rights and take effective actions to boycott, divest and sanction Israel.

4. Organising protests events, and educational campaigns

SPSC actively organises protests, campaigns, educational talks and speaker tours to keep Palestine on the political agenda in Scotland and beyond. Your membership means you are contributing to grassroots activism.

5. Fighting racism and oppression

The work of SPSC to oppose anti-Palestinian racism is part of a broader struggle against all forms of racism and colonialism. We are part of a wider movement for global justice and human rights.

6. Building a strong, supportive community

By joining, you connect with like-minded people who are committed to justice and equality. It is a chance to be part of a collective effort that makes a difference.

7. Defending our rights to assemble, protest, and advocate for Palestinian rights

Your membership strengthens our stand against attempts by our governments and authorities to suppress and criminalise solidarity with the Palestinian people. We need you to be part of the movement to defend all our rights and civil liberties in Scotland.
