THE POWER OF SPORTS BOYCOTT
On this day in 1968, thirty-two African nations agree to boycott the Olympics because of the presence of apartheid South Africa. The boycott of South Africa would later inspire the international BDS movement. Sports boycotts and protests have played a significant part in BDS campaigns, from Glasgow to Buenos Aires and around the world.
