UK GOV DENOUNCES UNHRC REPORT
On this day in 2019, the UNHRC published the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry which found that "Israeli forces…have intentionally shot children, they've intentionally shot people with disabilities, they've intentionally shot journalists, knowing them to be children, people with disabilities and journalists". UK Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt criticised the UNHRC for its unfair treatment of Israel and announced the UK henceforth would oppose all motions critical of Israel brought under the UNHRC’s regular reviews of Israel.

The commission said it "recommends that states that are parties to the Geneva Conventions and/or to the Rome Statute carry out their duty to exercise criminal jurisdiction and arrest persons alleged to have committed, or who ordered to have committed, the international crimes described in the present report, and either to try or to extradite them."
...and even Britain's right-wing Telegraph reported: "Israeli snipers targeted children, health workers and journalists in Gaza protests, UN says"
Numerous UN and other reports over many years have found Israel guilty of war crimes and possible crimes against humanity. In October 2009, following the Israeli massacre of Operation Cast Lead, UN Human Rights Council passed a resolution endorsing the Goldstone Report, which accused Israel of war crimes. That report accused Israel of deliberately punishing, humiliating and terrorising the civilian population of Gaza.
Amnesty International called for Israel to be prosecuted for war crimes at the ICC in order to break the sense of impunity Israel feels. See 'Hedges’s 2001 account of attack on Gaza boys anticipated Goldstone Report' – Mondoweiss
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges reported for Harpers Magazine from Gaza:
“Children have been shot in other conflicts I have covered—death squads gunned them down in El Salvador and Guatemala, mothers with infants were lined up and massacred in Algeria, and Serb snipers put children in their sights and watched them crumple onto the pavement in Sarajevo—but I have never before watched soldiers entice children like mice into a trap and murder them for sport.”
Settlers kill Palestinian children - police indifferent
Tariq Zebania, 7 years old, from Tarqumia, west of Hebron, was riding his bicycle by the settlement road near his town. An Israeli settler struck the child with his car and then drove into the ‘Adhoura’ settlement nearby.
Eyewitnesses called the Israeli security forces, who sent a military ambulance to transport the child to an Israeli hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Local sources report that no efforts were made by the Israeli authorities to apprehend the driver who killed the boy.
