The Palestinian cause is fundamentally not a humanitarian or charitable cause but rather a political struggle that arises from Israel’s settler colonialism, occupation and apartheid that is sustained through the complicity of our governments, institutions and corporations. This view informs how we approach fundraising for Palestine.
SPSC is a wholly volunteer organisation and relies on membership dues and donations to fund our activities. Funds that we raise go towards the costs of campaigning and organising for BDS and solidarity work.
The exceptions are projects such as the Stop the JNF Plant a Tree project and the BADIL Uphold Rights and Resist Suppression campaign where fundraising allows us to discuss the political situation on the ground, complicity at home and to support Palestinian grassroots resistance.
