Israeli sends death squads into Yemen on UAE contract

The Israeli State was birthed in barbaric ethnic cleansing, and perfects its means of violence, including the use of death squads, against a dispossessed and angry captive Palestinian population. Israel has long marketted and sold the dark skills consequent on this history to some of the world's worst dictatorships. Israeli expertise in training death squads world-wide is well-documented but a new development is the direct and undisguised deployment in Yemen of an Israeli company to carry out mass killings of members of Al Islah Party.

Tawakkul Karman profile 007For the program does not assassinate armed fighters but targets and murders members of a single political party, one which successfully campaigns to maintain the loyalty of 20-25% of Yemeni voters. An Al Islah Party member, Tawakkul Karman, a popular women's rights and anti-dictatorship campaigner won the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Al Islah opposes UAE aggression against Yemen by means of public campaigning.

Spear Operations, an Israeli-American company based in Delaware, killed Al Islah members in Yemen as part of a lucrative contract for the UAE beginning in 2015. Spear Operations Israeli founder, Abraham Golan, said, “There was a targeted assassination program in Yemen. I was running it. We did it."

The killers failed to kill their first target, Anssaf Ali Mayo, a local leader of Al-Islah Party, but they succeeded in killing over 25 other members for the Emirates ruler. Abraham Golan said his death squads were based on experience of Israel’s targeted killing program, ongoing since 1948. He said that during his company’s months-long engagement in Yemen, his team was responsible for a number of the war’s high-profile assassinations. “Maybe I’m a monster. Maybe I should be in jail. Maybe I’m a bad guy. But I’m right,” said Golan to a reporter.

GolanDahlanThe UAE dictatorship currently terror bombing Yemeni civilians claims Al-Islah is a "terrorist" organization but many of those knowledgeable in Yemen affairs dismiss the claim. The party is similar to other mainstream Islamic parties in Arab countries that have open elections, such as Ennahda in Tunisia, that are committed to changing governments through elections. It was Al Islah's opposition to the UAE attacks on Yemen that provoked the ruler to hire the Israeli company's death squads. One of the mercenaries is a US veteran of an elite military unit which the New York Times described as a “global man hunting machine with limited outside oversight.”  A former CIA officer told Buzzfeed that the mercenaries were “almost like a murder squad.”

Murder is what Israel does - worldwide. It is highly unlikely that Abraham Golan's murder squads were/are going about their grisly work without the knowledge and agreement of the governments of the US, Israel and the UAE's partner in Yemen, Saudi Arabia.

All those who oppose this vile trade must support the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples' right to determine their futures free from murderous dictatorships and the ethnic cleansing regime in Tel Aviv.
