The Co-operative Group regional AGMs Scotland/Northern Ireland and Northern England

The AGM of the Scotland and Northern Ireland region of the Co-operative Group will be held in Belfast on 4 May and in Glasgow on 7 May. On the agenda will be two motions for the Co-op to boycott Israeli goods and also to cease trading with Israeli food export companies that are also trading with settlements in the West Bank.

Once you are a member of the Co-op, register for the regional AGM in Glasgow or Belfast - you can do this online at register (Glasgow) or register (Belfast)   The Co-op do run buses to help folk get to the meeting; for example, there'll be a bus from outside the Co-op office in Bath Street Glasgow to the SECC; there'll be a bus from Glenrothes passing through Rosyth and other places.  Details will be on the AGM posters at Co-op food stores.

Members can attend and vote at the AGM as soon as they join, so please come and vote in favour of both motions on 4 or 7 May.

North of England

For members in the North of England, please attend the Co-op regional AGM @ Leeds Hilton Neville St (2 mins south of station) Sat 30 April from 2-3.30pm to vote in favour of this important (BDS) motion below; pre-register (or pre-join online) or just turn up, with membership card, see Facebook page.

Human Rights and Trade : Businesses involved in the Israeli Occupation of the West Bank.
'This regional members meeting calls upon the Co-operative Group to completely suspend trade with Carmel Agrexco, Arava and with any other businesses that are actively involved in the agricultural colonisation of the Occupied West Bank, thereby preventing the development of the Palestinian economy and agriculture and driving Palestinian economy into poverty.
