BBC Poll: world still views Israel as polecat state despite skewed press coverage

Nothing, it seems, can clean up the Israeli brand worldwide

Israel remains near the bottom of the world rankings, despite massively favourable press coverage in Western and Western-controlled international media.  Neither does Western governments’ political, economic and diplomatic support for Israel seem able to convince their populations that Israel is clean.  Even in Germany, where criticism of Israel is taboo in public circles, awareness of Israel’s crimes is as high as anywhere.

To fully appreciate the extent to which the world’s public opinion has grasped the reality of Israeli crimes towards the Palestinian people, the most recent BBC international poll results should be read together with the other articles contributed over time to  the Israel’s Image section of the SPSC website.
