The situation in Palestine is grim, but the good news is that international solidarity with Palestine is increasing by the day. Hear from activists recently returned/ deported from the West Bank, as well as Gazan professor, Haider Eid, and find out what part you can play in ensuring justice for Palestine.

Professor Haider Eid of al-Aqsa University in Gaza

Professor Eid will discuss via video-link issues relating to the UN vote on Palestinian statehood, and the revelations of the “Palestine Papers”.

After informing Israeli passport-control staff at Tel-Aviv that his onward destination was Bethlehem, where he had been invited to visit Palestinian families, he was jailed for almost a week before being deported back to the UK.

ISM (International Solidarity Movement) volunteer, Fiona Law, recently returned from the West Bank.

Chaired by SPSC chair, Mick Napier.

Mick is pictured here on his arrest at Tel-Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, before being jailed and deported alongside Frank and over 100 others. Around 600 more were prevented from boarding planes to Tel Aviv by airlines in their home countries.

 

The meeting is free to enter, but a donation to cover the hire of the hall will be welcomed.
