ABERDEEN: Threads of Resistance

Join us for an afternoon of Palestinian culture, creativity, and conversation. Connect, share and experience a rich cultural journey.

The day will begin with a hands-on cookery workshop, featuring tastings of traditional Palestinian flavours alongside stories that explore women’s everyday relationships to food, heritage and the land.

This will be followed by a Tatreez demonstration including a chance to create your very own piece of embroidery. These small pieces of artwork will be collected to create an end piece to be displayed around the city.

Throughout there will be discussions on the role of these everyday symbols of Palestinian resistance.

£15 (All materials and lunch included in ticket price).

The event will take place in the Chaplaincy’s main hall, on the 1st floor, and in an accessible room on the ground floor.
