In the 1980s and early 1990s, Dr Swee Ang worked as a trauma and orthopaedics consultant in the refugee camps of Lebanon, with the United Nations in Gaza and the World Health Organisation in the Occupied West Bank.
She is the co-founder and Patron of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
It is an outrage that Dr Swee Ang, after a lifetime of selfless dedication to her NHS patients and the Palestinian people, was barred from speaking by the BMA after being smeared as ‘antisemitic’.
But we live in a time of outrage piled upon outrage, of active complicity in the genocide by political and corporate bodies, or insidious silent complicity by virtually every other elite institution in the country – police, sporting, cultural, media, educational, and others.
It is fight or flight time – we must fight back or face tragic consequences.
