James Connolly Commemoration

Join us as at the 40th annual James Connolly Commemoration in Edinburgh and ensure that expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people remains a key theme again this year.

The event is politically independent (not aligned to any political party) and organised in conjunction with James Connolly’s home community.  Taking the form of a wreath laying ceremony at the James Connolly plaque in the Cowgate, with live music and speakers.

A wreath will be laid on behalf of Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

Edinburgh born James Connolly was a revolutionary socialist, trade union leader and a political theorist, executed tied to a chair – by British army firing squad in 1916.
