We are shocked and saddened to hear of SPSC member Naomi Junnor’s sudden passing. Naomi was a trade union, anti-racist and Palestine solidarity activist, never afraid to bring these areas of work together.
Her courage ran deep; as a Jewish anti-Zionist, she lost support and contact with many family members due to her fierce commitment to anti-racism and to equality, justice, and freedom for the Palestinian people.
It was typical of Naomi that she told friends on Friday that she thought she had the flu and would have to miss an event on Saturday commemorating Hind Rajab, but she thought she would be back on her feet on Sunday.
Naomi, you are much loved and admired and will be greatly missed, personally and by the wider movement.
