Two ways to add your energy to the BDS effort in Scotland

"Israel's strategy involves "dirty tricks" against its clear opponents; on the other hand "In defending Israel, new strategy calls for embracing critics...as a counter to the hardcore" BDS campaigners. Thus the Friends of Israel seemingly successful effort to win over Scottish SUTR (Stand up to Racism). But since the whole effort is to weaken the Palestinian-led BDS campaign...supporting the BDS movement fights back and contributes to the fight for Palestinian freedom."

Dear Palestine Supporter - We want to make a basic pitch to you - personally.

1. Rabid racists are making inroads in Scotland where they shouldn’t be tolerated
RacisHSBCt Glasgow Friends of Israel who gloat and sneer at the dispossession and massacres of Palestinians are mobilising to attend the ANTI-racism demonstration called for March 16th in Glasgow. They claim that Stand Up to Racism welcomes them to its events.

Palestinians and their supporters cannot march alongside banners that celebrate their violation and ethnic cleansing - what the UN Goldstone report acknowledged is Israel’s “deliberate attacks on civilians” with “the intention of spreading terror”.

The same degenerates support an Army whose depraved Chief Rabbi has endorsed the rape of Palestinian women to maintain soldier morale. The same people work constantly to get spaces closed down for Palestine solidarity events.

2. They exist only to fight Corbyn, the political left and the Palestinian-led BDS movement
GFoI are pathologically hostile to Jeremy Corbyn on account of his critical views of the Apartheid State and work, with Israeli Embassy backing, to counter the BDS work of Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign. This is a microcosm of the Israeli world-wide effort to defeat the BDS movement.

GFoI exist only to fight the anti-racist BDS movement and to defend Israel, one of the most racist societies in the world. If you want to oppose this effort driven by Israel’s fear of the BDS movement, there are several ways to do this.

3. The BDS movement is Israel’s main fear around the world
The best way is to get involved in the same BDS movement which the State of Israel fears can limit its ability to kill Palestinians at will.

Israel's strategy involves "dirty tricks" against its determined opponents; and a minister has called for assassinations of leaders of the BDS campaign; on the other hand "In defending Israel, new strategy calls for embracing critics...as a counter to the hardcore" BDS campaigners. Thus the Friends of Israel seemingly successful effort to win over Scottish SUTR (Stand up to Racism). But since the whole effort is to weaken the Palestinian-led BDS campaign...

TimeToDivest4. ...supporting the BDS movement fights back and contributes to the fight for Palestinian freedom
From your keyboard: Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign is working successfully with partners in the Time to Divest campaign to pressure Scottish local authority pension funds to end their investments in specific companies that enable Israel to commit its crimes against the Palestinian people, including mass killings of demonstrators.
You can also download the SPSC app to make this step even easier.

On the street and your keyboard: we also work with partners across the UK to pressure HSBC – Europe’s biggest bank – to divest from Caterpillar, who send weaponised bulldozers to Israel that are used to destroy Palestinian homes and communities. You can join us on Saturdays at HSBC
