You had the temerity to write to Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign some weeks ago threatening legal action as a result of an article I wrote about your bilious attacks on supporters of the Palestinian appeal for boycott against Israel...Against the nauseating hypocrisy of Establishment Catholics such as yourself and Tony Blair, we honour the likes of Fr. Musallam and Fr. Philip Berrigan. Fr. Berrigan put his life on the line against another great crime and said, "If they come for the innocent without walking over your body and mine, then a curse on our life and a curse on our religion."

I am writing to you from Tubas in the Jordan Valley under illegal Israeli occupation. A friend's cousin was murdered yesterday by a rabble of bored Israeli soldiers at the Tubas Hamra checkpoint. I doubt you read in your newspaper about this murder, the second martyrdom of an innocent Palestinian in the first two days of the new year of 2011. Did you read of the 1,400 Palestinians murdered over a few days in Gaza two years ago?
I write to you, filled with rage at Israel's endless murders. Not quite filled; space remains for a burning contempt for those such as yourself who join the never-ending campaign to smear supporters of Palestinians under Israel’s brutal heel as 'anti-Semitic'.
You baselessly slandered film director Ken Loach by accusing him of censoring a film when he did no such thing, but rather threw his prestige behind the Palestinian appeal for boycott of institutions linked to the apartheid Israeli State. In another case you wholly fabricated a supposed anti-Semitic outburst by fans at Celtic Park who were expressing support for Palestinian human rights and opposition to crimes by that State of Israel. Such actions place you squarely in the same camp as those Zionists who seek to blunt support for Palestinians in their struggle against dispossession by smears of 'anti-Semitism'.

You appear to be a pompous, public, pious Catholic of the same ilk as Tony Blair, another notorious liar and supporter of war crimes against wholly innocent people. You are either unaware of, or chose to ignore, voices such as that of Fr. Musallam of the Catholic Diocese of Gaza. He joins in the collective appeal from Palestinian Christians for protection against the crimes of Israel.
Fr. Musallam asks you to oppose 'Israel's crucifixion of Palestine', and specifically 'Israel's destruction of Christianity in the region' and its 'denial of freedom of religion'. He also protests the Israeli use of white phosphorous bombs on the yard of the Catholic school in Gaza. Do you think, Mr. MacMillan, that he is motivated by hatred of Jews rather 
than a desire to prevent Israeli white phosphorous burning the bodies of Palestinian children?
Your threat does not scare Scottish PSC. We have a record of seeing off several attempts at legal bullying before yours, as well as all accusations of anti-Semitism. Proceed with legal action for the article in question and we will have the opportunity to meet you in a courtroom. There, we will demonstrate the aims and methods of the growing international campaign to boycott Israel, its profound humanitarian and anti-racist impulses, and the dishonesty of those who support the insupportable, the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
More and more people are saying enough is enough with Israeli crimes against the violated people of Palestine. You prefer not even to walk by on the other side of this monstrous crime, but to spit in the eye of those who stand up for justice.
