Land Day Walking Challenge

2026 Land Day Walking Challenge
We will meet at 9.00am on Sunday, 29th March outide the Scottish Parliament (look for the Palestine flag! )
#7hillsofedinburghchallenge – Arthurs Seat • Blackford Hill • Braid Hill • Craiglockhart • Corstorphine • Castle • Calton Hill
Join us for the ultimate Edinburgh walking challenge in solidarity with the people of Palestine for Land Day 2026. There will be lots of discussion along the way, bring keffiyehs and flags.
Plenty of time to meet people, chat, and enjoy the beautiful views of Edinburgh from the top of each hill. In true SPSC spirit, no one will be left behind. If you are finding the walk difficult at any point, help will be on hand. We will go as fast as the last person.
You can also join us at any point along the route!
Land Day commemorates the ongoing resistance against the expropriation of Palestinian land. On 30th March 1976, Israeli police killed six Palestinian citizens of Israel protesting the seizure of thousands of dunums of Palestinian land in the Galilee.
Today, illegal settlements continue to expand across the West Bank. The landscape of the West Bank is rapidly shrinking, as Israeli forces increase checkpoints, close roads and the JNF continue to force more Palestinians from their land.

- Organise a land day walk in your local area to raise funds for the Plant a Tree in Palestine project! Mail us the details!
- Donate to Plant a Tree in Palestine
