EXTREME RACIST GROUP JOINS ANTI-RACIST COALITION On this day in 2019, a Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) conference in Glasgow admitted a three-person delegation from racist campaigning group, Glasgow Friends of Israel. The group supports Israeli state-sponsored racism, e.g. Jewish-only roads and settlements, and defends repeated mass killings of Palestinians. Their founder is linked to a far-right secret Facebook Group. Their social media allowed a discussion that welcomed “euthanizing” Palestinians and the White supremacist massacre of 49 Muslims in the Christchurch mosque.

Why Palestine is a core issue for anti-racists
We have never been here before. The Confederation of Friends of Israel in Scotland (COFIS) is an extreme racist group committed to Jewish supremacy in Palestine, the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous people, and support for Israeli massacres, one of which led the Scottish Government to call in 2014 for an arms embargo against the apartheid state. COFIS was allowed by the organisers - Stand Up to Racism (SUTR) - to take part in an anti-racist march in Scotland on Saturday March 17th.
Why SUTR violates UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination
"We say that the organisers have no mandate to violate and corrupt this international commemoration. Scotland must not be the back door for supporters of Israeli Apartheid to promote their racist segregation and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Were this effort to be successful it would shame Scotland internationally and make Mandela Place a meaningless relic."
