FRIENDS OF ISRAEL SPEAK OF "EUTHANISING" PALESTINIANS
On this day in 2016, Glasgow Friends of Israel shared a post from a member lamenting the deaths of three Jews and celebrating the "euthanising of three [Palestinian] rioters in Jerusalem”. Euthanasia is the intentional killing of a human being for his or her alleged benefit. The mind set of the Friend of Israel who posted about "euthanising Palestinians" is very close to the Nazi view that those they killed in their first wave of killings, disabled Germans of all religions or none, were being deprived of "lives not worth living".

Glasgow Friends of Israel Facebook admins Admins posted: "Times of Israel article sent to us by a GFI member who is visiting Israel just now, along with the following message" which reported an armed clash resulting in "the murder of three Jews in Halamish and the euthanising of three rioters in Jerusalem," clearly Palestinians.
The Nazi-type post was casually 'liked' 25 times by the Facebook page users, including a 'like' by an admin of the page itself. NE Scotland Friends of Israel shared it without comment. The racist malignancy is Scotland-wide.
Hate crimes are a staple of the Glasgow Friends of Israel Facebook page, which was set up after all to support Israel's ethnic cleansing of native Palestinians. The Facebook page hosted a discussion in the immediate aftermath of the White supremacist massacre of Muslim worshippers in the Christchurch mosque in March 2019. A group of members jeered at the victims (Diana Meyers),condemned the coverage given to the atrocity (John Sanderson) and warned against excessive sympathy for those murdered, "the hook of emotion in the water for you to bite onto when Muslims suffer" (Richard Treadaway).
Both SNP and Scottish Labour leaders supported a Glasgow Friends of Israel celebration of 'all things Israeli'
Both Nicola Sturgeon and Kezia Dugdale urged support for the event organised by the Israeli embassy and its agents in Scotland. The Shalom Festival showcased Israel as a fine place where Palestinians are not periodically massacred, Organisers claim that Jewish-only roads are not barred to Palestinians, and that there are no separate legal systems for Israelis and Palestinians, with normal court procedures for Jews and a 99.7% conviction rate for Palestinians.
No mention was made at the Shalom Festival of the appointment to the post of Chief Military Rabbi of Eyal Kareem, a rabbi who endorsed the rape by Israeli soldiers of 'comely Gentile women' if it boosted Israeli soldiers morale.
Glasgow Friends of Israel was one of the sponsors of the Shalom Festival; these advocates of 'peace' are supporters of every Israeli massacre and crime against the Palestinian people.
Successive Israeli governments regularly enact legislation which excludes, ignores, and discriminates against the Palestinian Arab minority. Since the establishment of the state, Israel has relied upon these laws to enforce their discriminatory treatment of Arab citizens and allow the unequal status and unequal treatment of Jewish and Arab citizens to persist.
