ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER PALESTINIAN'S HOUSE STOLEN
On this day in 2019, Jewish settlers seized a Palestinian home belonging to the al-Halabi family in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem. The settlers raided the al-Halabi family home, where an elderly Palestinian couple lived. They were out shopping for groceries at the time. Upon their return, the couple was thrown out by settlers. Palestinian youths attempted to defend the home from seizure; however, Israeli police forces assaulted them and fired tear-gas bombs towards them.

Another eviction a few months later in Silwan was carried out "legally" by the illegal occupation's pseudo-legal system:
“the story of Silwan properties is a David and Goliath story… An NGO rich in resources and assets uses the best lawyers to file lengthy, exhausting lawsuits against hard-up Palestinian families, families who have to spend a lot of money to try to protect their home and who must pay lawyers and experts for expensive legal proceedings, at the end of which they are also required to pay court costs. The Custodian of Absentee Property is helping the settlers take control of the homes."
