COFIS training DayPOLITICAL TRAINING DAY FOR ISRAEL LOBBY IN SCOTLAND
On this day in 2015, pro-Israel groups held a “political training day” in Glasgow to defend Israeli war crimes and alleged crimes against humanity and to counter the Palestinian BDS campaign. An Israeli Embassy diplomat led the event, attended by various groups including SCoJeC, the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities, who provided a speaker for the event. SCoJeC had previously claimed to be open to all Scottish Jews and thus was not a pro-Israel advocacy group.

في مثل هذا اليوم من عام 2015، عقدت الجماعات الموالية لإسرائيل"يوم تدريب سياسي" في غلاسكو للدفاع عن جرائم الحرب الإسرائيلية والجرائم المزعومة ضد الإنسانية ولمواجهة حملة المقاطعة الفلسطينية. قاد دبلوماسي من السفارة الإسرائيلية الحدث، وحضره مجموعات مختلفة بما في ذلك المجلس الأسكتلندي للجاليات اليهودية، الذي قدم متحدثًا لهذه المناسبة. كان هذا المجلس قد ادعى في السابق أنه مفتوح لجميع اليهود الأسكتلنديين وبالتالي فهو ليس مجموعة للدفاع عن اسرائيل

SCoJeC is the Scottish affiliate of the UK Board of Deputies (BoD), self-appointed representatives of all British Jews...the BoD have no right to claim to speak for the British “Jewish Community”; Haredi Jews, for example, (approx  20% of the British Jewish population) do not recognise their authority. They can’t claim to represent the 50% of British Jews who identify as secular.

The BoD are affiliated to the World Jewish Congress (WJC). Part of the WJC’s mission statement is “countering anti-Semitism and the de-legitimization of Israel; and continually supporting the State and People of Israel in their struggle to live in peace with their neighbours”. They are also affiliated to the European Jewish Congress (EJC). Amongst the objectives of the EJC’s primary is the mission “to promote a balanced European policy towards Israel and the Middle East, and to assist in the construction of a healthy dialogue between Europeans and Israelis”. Another objective of the EJC is to prevent “nuclear terrorism”.

The European Jewish Congress claimed that anti-semitism in Scotland is so intense that it is reminiscent of Hitler's Germany. (Tony Blair works for EJC billionaire leader Moshe Kantor.) Kantor condemned Israeli products supposedly being "distinctively marked in Scotland. These acts are eerily reminiscent of darker times and perhaps there is a level of hatred that connects them".

SCoJeC is affiliated via the UK body to the European Jewish Congress and accepted Kantor's demented claims without challenge. The Scottish affiliate is no slouch in exaggerating or inventing anti-semitism to promote their Zionist agenda, i.e. to pressure Scottish Jews to move to Israel. Part of this involves planting stories in the Jewish Chronicle, a Zionist propaganda sheet, such as Jews in Scotland are considering leaving over antisemitism, says Ephraim Borowski, director of the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities (SCoJeC). Borowski himself has been accused by other Scottish Jews of exaggerating anti-semitism. He has also found to be fabricating anti-semitic behaviour by SPSC.

SCoJeC and COFIS work together to fabricate examples of anti-semitism to besmirch the anti-racist reputation of SPSC, an organisation that is solidly opposed to anti-semitism but can never be forgiven for campaiging against the barbarism of the Israeli State.
